ABOUT COLLEGE

The Kalyani Government Engineering College(KGEC), Nadia is a Government Engineering Institution located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was Founded in 1995. The mission of Kalyani Government Engineering College is to impart quality technical education to the students at the undergraduate and at the postgraduate levels of engineering with the aim to make them complete human beings possessing depth of knowledge not only in their own discipline but also in the kindred areas, which shall necessarily be accompanied by a wide mental horizon making them capable of sifting the grain from the chaff, the honesty from the chicanery, the truth from the untruth. KGEC is ranked 69 in all India rankings of Top 100 Engineering College in India in 2012. It is ranked 3rd best engineering college in West Bengal which takes admission through WBJEE. This college is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology) and is approved by AICTE and also offered courses like B.
