Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering(ETE)-www.wbjee.co.in

Electronics is the science of controlling electrical energy electrically and electronics engineering is the largest and most sophisticated branches of engineering. The electronics engineer deals with electrical circuits that involve active electrical components (like integrated circuits, transistors, vacuum tubes, diodes, optoelectronics & sensors), associated passive electrical components, and interconnection technologies(e.g:-Television, Radio, computers, telephones etc).

The group of engineer works in design, fabricate, produce, test and supervise the manufacture of complex products or systems(electronic equipment, components etc). The sector’s where the electronics engineer can work is computer industries, defense, hospitals and in electronic data processing systems for communication etc.

In this, they work on microprocessors, microcontroller, fiber optics, telecommunication, television, radios, Satellite, Aviation & Avionics etc.One can pursue M.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering(ETE) after successful completion of BE/B.Tech. Electronics engineering is a rapidly growing sector where there are excellent job opportunities for the knowledgeable and skilled professionals.

What should be Taught in this stream?

As this steam of Engineering is a sub-part of electronics so you will get a hand full of Digital & Analog Electronics, Applied Physics, a bit of Applied Chemistry & Mathematics, basic electrical and electronics engineering, Electrical Networks, Electronic Instruments, and Measurements and don’t confuse with the name but you will also study Computer Organization and System Software, Computer Programming in your entire course of Undergraduate(UG) program.

Top Engineering Colleges Offering Electronics and Telecommunication

What Does an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer do?

Telecommunications engineers basic job is to develop and test electronic circuits testing, manufacturing, and maintenance of electronic devices the job also includes understanding the construction, merits, identification, limitations, characteristics, and applications of electronic devices and materials and understanding the lines communication, microwave communication and audio and video communication etc.

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer deals with developing and manufacturing of electronic devices, communications equipment(transmitter, receiver, PCB board, integrated circuits, microwaves, optical fiber etc), complex circuits design etc.

Electronics and Telecommunication engineers can also go for higher studies to deepen the knowledge and skills with concepts and theories which will help them in professional work like operations, productions, systems implementation, and maintenance.
