ABOUT COLLEGE
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Hyderabad Campus, officially Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani Hyderabad Campus. It is a technical and science institute for higher education is located in Telangana, India. It is one of the four campuses of BITS Pilani, established in the year 2008. The college campus is located in one of the most advanced city in respect of Technology in India.
The campus is built over 200 acres of land at Jawahar Nagar, Shameerpet, Hyderabad. Surrounded by natural beauty, Nearest International Airport is 70km from campus, and nearest railway station is 27km from campus. The campus is easily accessible by road with a bus stop just outside the campus. Near campus, medical facilities, and recreational centers are also present.
Campus life is vibrant and stimulating. Student calendars are filled with a healthy mix of extracurricular activities through various clubs and departments. There is a culture of freedom coupled with a holistic environment for the multidimensional growth of a student personality.Live talks are conducted on regular basis decorated with the presence of esteemed entrepreneurs, engineers, and businessmen, especially during the Technical fest and TEDx. The BITS Hyderabad has a very happening campus with a variety of quality projects being offered by the faculty helping in the enhancement of the abilities and get hands-on experience.
BITS is India’s only institute which does not follow the reservation system and does not provide any facilities based on the quota for any caste. Its alumni base consists many distinguished names like Prithviraj Chauhan, former CM of Maharashtra, Sanjay Mehrotra, the founder of Sandisk and many more. BITS also provides the students with the most flexible education system in India with 0% attendance facility, being the only institute in India to provide with this.
It is also highly rated for the personality development of its students and though it is a private institution, it is still among the top 5 engineering colleges in any list beating more than 70% IITs.
